Discover eLearning has been selected to support the launch and growth of a new University of Oxford research centre: the Vaccines and Society (VAS) Unit.

The Vaccines and Society Unit is a multidisciplinary research centre hosted by the Oxford Vaccine Group. Discover eLearning will support the centre and its staff by creating a new digital environment that allows researchers to catalogue and promote vaccine-related projects, research, events, and news.

We’ll also create quality multimedia to support the VAS Unit’s growth, and ensure the team has the tools they need to conduct and share their vital research.

The Vaccines and Society Unit particularly focuses on attitudes towards vaccination in society, policy, and media. These have been highlighted dramatically following the Covid-19 pandemic, making them a key area for exploration.

In addition, VAS Unit projects will focus on:

  • Vaccine knowledge and vaccine hesitancy
  • Public policy
  • Trials and research participation
  • Outbreak response.

Discover eLearning’s involvement in this exciting new project continues our long and successful partnership with the University of Oxford. Previous projects include Alice In Typhoidland, an interactive games-led installation created for the Oxford Martin School. Alice In Typhoidland aims to help young people understand the importance of hygiene and the history of sanitation reform.
