Delegates of IF Oxford Science And Ideas Festival have been given early access to an educational comic book created by Discover eLearning and produced by Oxford Vaccine Group in collaboration with The Jenner Institute.

The comic has been launched as part of the festival’s Explorazone, a digital lobby for exploration of everything that the festival has to offer (with delegates across the world being welcomed to attend the festival virtually in light of Coronavirus restrictions). The Explorazone remains open as an on-demand service until 16th November.

‘Elisa Foxford’s Guide To Coronavirus’ is a highly visual and colourful comic aimed at primary school-aged children, and covers many of the common questions children have about coronavirus, such as how viruses work, why they make people ill, why people are worried about coronavirus and how vaccines work.

It is hoped that this, along with many other visually appealing and engaging open educational resources, which are currently in development in collaboration with Oxford Vaccine Group and The Jenner Institute, will be made freely available in the coming days ahead.
